2010 marks the 101st Playing of the Canadian Open, returning to St. George’s Golf and Country Club for the fifth time, the first since 1968. Regarded as one of the top golf courses in Canada, St. George’s promises to provide a memorable and unique experience for participants, corporate partners, media and spectators alike. Along with title sponsor RBC and Golf Canada, I am very proud to again be hosting the Mike Weir Charity Classic, benefitting my Foundation.

In 2009, The Mike Weir Foundation, dedicated to advancing the physical, emotional, and educational welfare of children in need, became the RBC Canadian Open’s National Charity Partner.  We were able to raise $275,000 through the Charity Classic alone.  We will continue to ensure that the net proceeds from this event assist my Foundation, RBC and Golf Canada in achieving our collective goal of raising $5 million for children’s wellness over the first five years of RBC’s Canadian Open sponsorship.
